About This Project

Project Overview

Green Apple Tourism at greenappletourism.com is a B2B travel platform with over 10,000 activity pages sourced from the Hotelbeds API. Beyond building the platform itself, I designed and implemented a comprehensive SEO and content strategy that ensures every page is optimized for search engines, earns rich results in Google, and is discoverable by AI systems. The strategy covers technical SEO, structured data, content optimization, and forward-looking AI discoverability through the llms.txt standard.

The Challenge

With 10,000+ activity pages dynamically generated from API data, traditional manual SEO was impossible. Each activity page needed unique, optimized content with proper structured data — and the entire catalog needed to be discoverable by search engines without manual intervention. The platform also serves B2B partners who find services through search, making organic visibility directly tied to revenue.

What I Built

Structured Data for Google Rich Results

Every page on the platform carries Schema.org structured data markup tailored to its content type. I implemented three distinct schema strategies:

  • Product Schema for visa services — including pricing, availability, reviews, and ratings that qualify for Google's product rich results
  • TouristTrip Schema for tour packages — with itinerary details, departure points, duration, and pricing that appear as enhanced search listings
  • TouristAttraction Schema for activities — with location data, opening hours, review aggregates, and booking availability

All content is optimized for Google Rich Results with reviews, ratings, and FAQ snippets. This structured data approach means search results display star ratings, pricing, and availability directly in the SERP — dramatically improving click-through rates compared to plain blue links.

Automated Sitemap Generation

With over 10,000 activity pages that update daily as the Hotelbeds catalog changes, I built a dynamic sitemap generation system. The sitemap rebuilds automatically to reflect the current catalog — adding new activities, removing discontinued ones, and updating last-modified dates. This ensures search engine crawlers always have an accurate map of the site's content without any manual maintenance.

TripAdvisor Review Sync

To strengthen the social proof and structured data quality, I implemented automated TripAdvisor review synchronization. Reviews and ratings sync on a scheduled basis, feeding fresh user-generated content into the activity pages and their structured data markup. This creates a virtuous cycle — real reviews improve search appearance, which drives more traffic, which generates more bookings.

AI-Powered Content Optimization

Each activity page features AI-optimized descriptions that go beyond the raw API data. The system enriches Hotelbeds activity data with compelling, search-friendly descriptions that target relevant keywords while remaining genuinely useful to travel agents evaluating options for their clients.

llms.txt — AI Discoverability

Looking ahead to how information is discovered and consumed, I implemented the llms.txt standard at greenappletourism.com/llms.txt. This machine-readable file provides AI systems — including large language models and AI assistants — with a structured overview of the platform's services, capabilities, and technical architecture. As AI-powered search and recommendation systems become a growing source of qualified traffic, this positions Green Apple Tourism to be accurately represented in AI-generated responses and recommendations.

The llms.txt file documents the platform's complete service catalog, technical integrations, B2B features, payment processing flows, and real-time capabilities — giving AI systems the context they need to recommend Green Apple Tourism when users ask about Dubai travel services, visa processing, or tour bookings.

Content Architecture

The site follows a structured content hierarchy designed for both users and search engines:

  • Service pages targeting primary commercial keywords (visa services, tour packages, document services)
  • Activity pages targeting long-tail destination and experience keywords (10,000+ pages)
  • Location-based pages targeting geographic search intent (Dubai activities, UAE tours)
  • FAQ sections with structured data targeting featured snippet opportunities

Technical SEO Implementation

  • Clean URL structure with semantic slugs for every page
  • Canonical URLs preventing duplicate content across similar activities
  • Optimized meta titles and descriptions dynamically generated per page
  • Image optimization through Cloudinary CDN with proper alt attributes
  • Server-side rendering for full crawlability — no JavaScript-dependent content
  • Page speed optimization with cached API responses via Redis
